How these hours guides are made
A practicum hours log for doctoral psychology students and speech language pathology students. One independent developer builds and publishes it; no university, clinic or professional association is involved.
What the log is for
Hours have to be reported in an application's own categories, often months after the session. Here you file each activity while it is fresh, in the category it will be reported under and rounded the way the application rounds it. The log takes the entry and the totals page adds it up per term and in total. Nothing you log leaves this browser, and there is nothing to sign up for.
Where the 39 categories come from
Two data files hold them, one per reporting regime: the AAPI Practicum Hours Tracking Guide (version 1.0, revised September 2026) and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's 2027 SLP certification standards. The categories page prints every definition and lists those documents with their versions and links.
Those documents are linked, not copied, and where a sentence here disagrees with one of them, the document is right.
Bylines and dates
All 4 guides go out as Practicum Ledger's own, with no person's name on any of them, and their markup lists the Practicum Ledger organization, not an individual, as author. No supervisor, director or clinician is named on the site. Each guide is dated by the last change to its text.
Related sites
The same developer runs Fieldwork Ledger, which counts supervised behaviour-analysis fieldwork; Lactation Ledger, for clinical hours toward a lactation exam; Trainer Hours, for dog trainers; and Sea Time Ledger, which tallies the sea days a skipper has logged. Sharing a developer gives none of them any say over practicum categories.
The limits
A log kept here is not an official record. The application portal your program submits is the record that counts, and your director of clinical training verifies your hours. This site cannot submit, import or export into that portal; you copy the totals across yourself.
